Meet Our Team

Shukurat is a writer, community advocate, and founding member of the Nest of Empowerment Initiative. Her passion for empowerment is rooted in lived experience, shaped by the stories she has encountered, talents she has seen wasted, and the quiet struggles that too often go unseen. She believes that no one should be held back simply because they were born into limitation and that with the right support, anyone can build a life of dignity, purpose, and independence. Through NOE, she is working to turn that belief into action by helping individuals grow sustainable businesses, build wealth, and contribute meaningfully to their communities. Shukurat is currently pursuing her doctoral studies at Goethe University Frankfurt and is a member of the Centre for Interdisciplinary African Studies.

Abayomi is an educator and researcher with a strong background in English Language Education and TESOL. She has years of experience teaching and mentoring students, particularly in underserved communities. Passionate about equity in education, she promotes inclusive learning environments and advocates for access to quality education for all.

Olusegun is a business and technology professional committed to advancing human potential through inclusive economic development. He believes in the dignity, capacity, and creativity of every individual and supports programs that unlock growth, self-reliance, and long-term impact. As a Trustee, he offers strategic insight and principled leadership to help individuals and communities thrive.
